One great golfing event is returning and is for a great cause! The 10th Annual Payton Wright Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, May 4th, 2018, at Longboat Key Club in Sarasota is a must do if you you love “golfing for a cause”. Registrations include multiple chances to win a 20k hole in one, premium golf shirt/gift bag, food and drinks on the course, lunch and banquet admission. Banquet only admission can be purchased as well.
The foundation was formed after Patrick & Holly Wright lost their 5 year old daughter, Payton, from a rare form of brain cancer in May 2007. Pediatric brain cancer is leading cause of cancer related death among children. The Payton Wright Foundation is passionate and committed to help raise funds and awareness for this horrific disease. This year’s event is especially meaningful because we will celebrate what would have been Payton’s 16th birthday.
Families are the backbone of the Sandbar, Beach House and Mar Vista Restaurants and we are honored to help raise funds for the foundation Patrick and Holly Wright have created to honor their daughter Payton.
Tax-deductible contribution to this golf tournament gives critical support to families when they need it most, at the worst time of their lives. We provide these families, whose children are undergoing treatment for pediatric brain cancer, gas cards so they can afford to drive their child to treatment, sometimes hundreds of miles away. We also help them with their utilities and mortgage payments because worrying about how you are going to pay your mortgage or get your water turned back on should not be something a family with a sick child should have to fret about. We help families so their focus can stay on their child.
